El Monte, California, February 20, 2004 – George Fischer Signet, Inc. introduces a new line of pH/ORP electrodes and a new 2760 pre-amplifier that utilizes the rugged Signet DryLoc®connector design. The 2764-2767 series electrodes use the field-proven 3-electrode differential technique: the pH and reference electrodes are measured against a ground electrode, ensuring a steady and stable signal. In addition, the reference element is housed in a glass half-cell embedded in the reference chamber, protecting it from harmful compounds. The refillable electrolyte chamber and salt bridge, easily serviced in the field, help extend the service life of the electrode. Ideal for applications including water and wastewater treatment, surface refinishing, heavy metal removal and recovery, textile dye processing and plating baths, the electrodes are designed with a flat or bulb measurement surface, 1 inch process thread connection, and a temperature device with a response time of less than one minute.
The 2774-2777 pH/ORP electrodes feature the same DryLoc®design to quickly connect to either the 2750 or 2760 pH/ORP sensor or preamplifier, plus a ¾ inch process thread connection that fits into most standard pipe fittings. Constructed with a Teflon® double reference junction and a large reference chamber, these electrodes are sure to provide extended service beyond the industry average. Both flat and bulb measurement styles can be positioned at any angle, giving users ultimate mounting versatility in applications such as aquatic animal life support, pool and spa control, water quality monitoring and neutralization systems.
The 2750 pH/ORP Sensor Electronics and new 2760 Pre-amplifier are both compatible with Signet DryLoc pH/ORP electrodes. The 2760 features a compact CPVC design ideal for either in-line or submersible installations. It is compatible with most Signet pH/ORP instruments and can also be ordered as a pre-amp or non pre-amp connector interface (cable runs of 15´ or less) for use with other manufacturers' instruments.
The 2750 features two output options: a two-wire 4 to 20mA loop output that can be run longer distances, or a digital (S3L) output, compatible with the 8900 Multi-Parameter Controller. Additionally, the optional EasyCal allows simple push-button calibration.
